Check the right drawing before you enter numbers
Start with the printed ticket, not the latest result you see online. The checker works best when the market, game, draw date, session, and play line all match the ticket in your hand.
- Choose the state or market where the ticket was bought.
- Select the exact game name, such as Powerball, Mega Millions, EuroMillions, Lotto Max, Oz Lotto, NZ Lotto, Ultra Lotto 6/58, or South Africa PowerBall.
- Use the draw date printed on the ticket. If the ticket has a draw number or session, use that detail too.
- Enter one play line at a time. Do not combine numbers from two lines or boards.
- Put Powerballs, Mega Balls, Lucky Stars, Thunderballs, Grand Numbers, and similar bonus picks in the separate fields shown by the checker.
Lottery Valley is a manual draw-game number checker. It does not scan ticket barcodes, read photos, check scratch-offs, or validate the physical ticket.
What your ticket checker result means
The result tells you how the numbers you entered compare with the stored result for the game and drawing you selected. It is a useful number check, not a claim decision.
Prize amounts can depend on multipliers, add-ons, pari-mutuel payouts, jackpot sharing, ticket status, and local claim rules. The official lottery must validate the ticket and prize.
Old tickets and multi-draw tickets
You can check an old ticket when Lottery Valley has the past result for that game and draw date. Use the draw date on the ticket, not the purchase date unless they are the same.
For a multi-draw ticket, treat each drawing as a separate check:
- Choose the first draw date covered by the ticket.
- Enter one play line and check it.
- Move to the next draw date on the ticket.
- Repeat the check for each line and each covered drawing.
The same numbers can miss on one drawing and match on another. If an old result is missing, or if the ticket appears to match, compare it with the official lottery archive before making a claim decision. Claim windows vary by game and location.
When order, bonus balls, and sessions matter
Lottery tickets do not all work the same way. The selected game controls whether the checker treats your numbers as an unordered group, a separate bonus-ball entry, an ordered sequence, or a specific daily session.
Main numbers that match in any order
For games such as Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto Max, Oz Lotto, Daily Lotto, and many state Lotto or Cash games, the main numbers usually match as a group. If your ticket line has 4, 12, 22, 36, and 41, those main numbers usually still match if the drawing prints them in a different order.
This does not mean you can mix play lines. A Powerball ticket with three matching numbers on line A and two matching numbers on line B is not the same as one five-number line.
Bonus picks that need their own field
Bonus picks come from a separate pool. The red Powerball, gold Mega Ball, EuroMillions Lucky Stars, Daily Grand Grand Number, and Thunderball should be entered in the bonus fields shown by the checker.
A bonus pick normally cannot replace a missing main number. For example, a Mega Ball match is different from matching one of the five main Mega Millions numbers.
Games where order or session changes the result
Some games depend on the exact sequence or drawing session. New Zealand Strike is order-based, so the sequence matters. Philippine 2D, 3D, 4D, and 6D games are positional, and 2D or 3D tickets may be tied to a 2PM, 5PM, or 9PM session.
If a Philippine 3D ticket was for the 5PM draw, checking only the date is not enough. Choose the 5PM version of the game before entering the digits.
Add-ons and secondary drawings
Some ticket features change the prize amount or create a separate drawing. Power Play, Double Play, Mega Millions multipliers, Lotto Plus, Xtra, HotPicks, Keno, and similar options may need official review or a separate supported checker entry.
First check the base game and draw date. Then use the official lottery's rules or app for any add-on, multiplier, secondary drawing, or ticket feature that is not shown in the checker.
