After you check Canada lottery results
Start with the latest posted numbers, then match the ticket to the exact game, draw date, play type, add-on, and the province or region where the ticket was bought before treating the result as a possible prize.
Lottery Valley is independent from Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49, Daily Grand, OLG, Loto-Quebec, BCLC, WCLC, Atlantic Lottery, and official lottery operators. Results, archives, game pages, number tools, ticket comparisons, and tax notes can help you move faster, but official ticket and prize verification belongs with the lottery corporation that sold the ticket, an authorized retailer, an official online account, or the official claim process.

How Canadian lottery games are organized
Canada-wide lottery games are coordinated nationally, but tickets are sold and administered through provincial and regional lottery corporations. BCLC says BCLC and four other Canadian lottery jurisdictions make up the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation, which operates the national draw games Lotto 6/49, Lotto Max, and Daily Grand. WCLC also describes itself as a regional marketing organization of ILC and says ILC is authorized to manage and conduct national lotteries.
For ticket holders, the practical result is that the same national draw can appear across Canada while the next step depends on where the ticket was bought. The selling lottery corporation controls the official purchase channel, ticket validation, claim route, deadline details, online account handling, and winner-publicity process.

Lotto Max
Lotto Max is a Canada-wide jackpot game drawn on Tuesday and Friday evenings. Official pages describe a $6 play with four selections of seven numbers from 1 to 52. The jackpot starts at $10 million and can grow up to $90 million. When the jackpot reaches $50 million, MAXMILLIONS prizes can be added, and current game pages also describe additional $100,000 prize draws tied to the jackpot amount.
Because regional add-ons differ, check the ticket against the corporation that sold it. An Ontario ticket may include Encore, a western ticket may include Extra, and an Atlantic ticket may include TAG or Twist.
Lotto 6/49
Lotto 6/49 is a Canada-wide draw game held on Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Official pages describe each play as one Classic Draw selection plus a Gold Ball Draw number. The Classic Draw jackpot is fixed at $5 million, while the Gold Ball Draw can award either a guaranteed $1 million prize or a growing Gold Ball jackpot.
Ticket holders should check both parts of the ticket. A Lotto 6/49 ticket is not fully checked until the Classic numbers, bonus number, Gold Ball Draw number, draw date, and regional add-ons have all been compared.
Daily Grand
Daily Grand is a Canada-wide draw game held on Monday and Thursday evenings. Official pages describe a play as five main numbers from 1 to 49 plus one Grand Number from 1 to 7. The top advertised prize is $1,000 a day for life, with an official lump-sum option; the second prize is $25,000 a year for life, also with a lump-sum option.
The annuity-or-cash decision is part of the official claim process. OLG's Daily Grand FAQ says top-tier claimants have a set period from presenting the claim to decide between the annuity and single-payment options, and that Daily Grand prizes must be claimed within one year from the draw date in Ontario.

Regional and provincial games
Not every game on a Canadian lottery site is available across Canada. Some games exist only in one province or region, and some add-ons use regional names even when they appear beside a national game.

Lottery Valley focuses on the main Canada-wide result paths. For scratch tickets, regional daily games, sports products, or temporary promotions, use the official lottery corporation page printed on the ticket or shown in the account.
Draw times, sales cutoffs, and result timing
Canada-wide draws are not best explained with one national clock time. BCLC says national draws for Lotto 6/49, Lotto Max, and Daily Grand are conducted in Toronto by ILC. Official consumer pages then show local draw or cutoff details by region, such as Ontario's 10:30 p.m. Eastern draw close, Atlantic Lottery's Atlantic Time draw listings, PlayNow's Pacific Time pages, and WCLC's Central, Mountain, and Pacific cutoff times.
Draw times and sales cutoffs are not the same thing. Check the official lottery corporation for the province or region where the ticket is bought before playing close to a draw.

Buying Canadian lottery tickets
Canadian lottery tickets are bought through official retail locations and official online channels offered by the lottery corporation for the selling province or region. There is no single Canada-wide online account for every player.
Ontario players can buy eligible lottery tickets through OLG.ca if they meet OLG's online rules. OLG says online lottery buyers must be at least 18 and currently residing in Ontario. Quebec's online lottery page says players need an Espacejeux account and must be at least 18 and resident in Quebec. BCLC says PlayNow is its regulated online site for B.C.; PlayNow says registered players must be 19 or older, B.C. residents, and physically located in B.C. to purchase games. WCLC says it offers certain online ticket sales through SubscriptionSpot.ca and the Lotto Spot app in its authorized jurisdictions, with online ticket sales also offered in Manitoba through PlayNow.com and in Alberta through PlayAlberta.ca. Atlantic Lottery sells through alc.ca, the ALC app, and retailers, and its public materials identify Atlantic Lottery as a 19+ company.
If a site is not run or identified by the selling lottery corporation, treat it as unofficial. The official ticket record is the retail ticket, the official app/account ticket, or the corporation's own system record.
Official verification after a possible match
Use Lottery Valley as a fast comparison layer, then verify through the official source. OLG's app terms say lottery game information from the app is not official for prize-claim purposes unless OLG says otherwise, and certain information must be verified through an authorized retailer, the Prize Centre, support centre, or satellite Prize Centre. BCLC and Atlantic Lottery also state that official winning number reports prevail if posted results differ. WCLC says official game conditions, official winning-number lists, results, odds, prize breakdowns, and rules govern its games.
For a retail ticket, sign it, keep the original ticket safe, and validate it through the selling corporation's official process. For an online ticket, check the account history, ticket history, messages, and claim instructions for that corporation. A screenshot, copied number set, or result page is not enough for a prize claim.
Claiming Canadian lottery prizes
Claim thresholds and payment methods differ by lottery corporation. Use the claim instructions from the lottery corporation that sold the ticket.

Canada lottery claim deadlines
Claim deadlines can depend on the game, ticket type, and selling lottery corporation. National draw games commonly use a one-year draw-date rule in official corporation pages, but scratch and instant tickets often use the expiry date printed on the ticket or announced by the corporation.

Taxes on Canadian lottery winnings
The CRA says lottery winnings of any amount do not have to be reported as income unless the prize can be considered income from employment, a business or property, or a prize for achievement. The same CRA page says income earned on those amounts is taxable; for example, interest earned after investing lottery winnings must be reported.
For a real prize, check CRA guidance or a qualified adviser before making tax or financial decisions. Large prizes, annuity-style prizes, syndicates, gifts, estate planning, nonresident issues, business-like gambling, and investment income after a win can create separate questions.

Winner privacy and publicity in Canada
Winner publicity rules depend on the lottery corporation that sold the ticket. There is no single Canada-wide anonymity rule. Some corporations publish winner names, communities, photos, prize amounts, and game details for larger prizes, while the exact amount and duration of publicity can differ.

Before claiming a major prize, ask the selling lottery corporation what information will be collected, what may be published, how group claims are handled, and whether any privacy exception process exists.
Responsible play and age rules
Age rules and online account controls are not identical across Canada. Use the selling corporation's rule for the province or region where the ticket is bought.
